Casey Cotita
Casey Cotita is the Chief Technology Officer of Covered Bridge Collective, where he leads the firm’s technology strategy and helps clients turn ambitious ideas into practical, scalable solutions, bringing a can-do mindset to the work. With more than two decades of experience in information technology, systems engineering, and team leadership, Casey brings a rare combination of technical depth, operational discipline, and people-centered problem-solving to work at the intersection of education, workforce, and digital infrastructure.
Across his career, Casey has built and supported complex technology environments, led high-performing teams, and delivered multi-phase initiatives that improve reliability, streamline operations, and enable organizational change. His experience spans systems administration, enterprise collaboration platforms, cloud migrations, automation, identity and access management, data flows, and IT service design. He is especially skilled at helping organizations connect strategy to execution through thoughtful architecture, process improvement, and integration planning.
Casey is currently performing data engineering and development work. He was previously in a technology leadership role at a large online university, where he managed a team supporting enterprise collaboration systems and the Microsoft environment at scale. In that work, he led initiatives involving Microsoft 365, automation, reporting, ServiceNow process improvements, AI-enabled productivity tools, and enterprise migrations that reduced complexity and improved organizational effectiveness. He has also designed Power Platform applications, developed PowerShell automation at significant scale, supported dynamic identity and permissions structures, and helped modernize collaboration technologies across large user populations.
Before moving into his current leadership role, Casey held a series of increasingly senior engineering and IT management positions, developing expertise in systems administration, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery, networking, virtualization, server environments, and end-user support. Earlier in his career, he led campus and organizational technology operations in both higher education and private-sector settings, building a strong foundation in service delivery, technical troubleshooting, and team development.
At Covered Bridge Collective, Casey supports clients who need more than a strategic vision — they need a technology leader who can understand systems, anticipate implementation realities, and help architect sustainable solutions. His background is especially valuable in engagements involving IT integration, enterprise workflows, platform selection, automation, digital records, and the technical ecosystem required to support learner-centered, skills-based transformation.
Casey holds a Master of Business Administration in IT Management and a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology, with a minor in business. His work reflects a strong grounding not only in technical systems, but also in organizational leadership, business processes, and ethical, strategic decision-making.
